Criminal Justice Fair Highlights

The DMACC Criminal Justice Program hosted its annual career fair Thursday, March 7, in Building 5.

There were approximately 50 tables featuring employers, recruiters, and colleges offering information. Attendees included various sheriff’s offices and police departments in Iowa, the Army and National Guard, the National Court Reporters Association, the Iowa Department of Corrections, and many more. Here are the highlights:

The National Court Reporters Association partners with DMACC to provide students with the option of getting an associate degree in applied science that specializes in court reporting. Students can enroll in the court reporting program which allows students to take courses virtually, which gives students the opportunity to go into the criminal justice field with only an associate’s degree. Limited spots remain for this program, so contact Sean Harnett at sphartnett@dmacc.edu or visit courtreporting.dmacc.edu for more information.
