Jacobsen Continues Softball at Ole Miss

DMACC Softball standout Molly Jacobsen has pursued her dream of playing Division I softball. She has chosen to continue her education and softball career at the University of Mississippi as Rebel.

“On my visit to Ole Miss, I loved everything about it and couldn’t find a negative, so I knew that’s where I was supposed to go,” Jacobsen said.

Her career at DMACC led the Bears to a 47-9 record in the 2016-17 season. This season, the Bears are 34-0. They are No. 1 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XI rankings with Ellsworth, Iowa Central, Iowa Lakes and other surrounding comm

unity colleges behind them.

The Bears will play today, April 25, in Boone against Kirkwood at 2 and 4 p.m.

The Region XI tournament will start in the first weekend of May.

“Our goals are to play our game and to take it one game at a time. Also, we are not playing against our opponent, we are playing against ourselves,” Jacobsen said. “If we keep doing what we are doing, then we believe we will be successful.”
