Interview: Rashida Anderson-Abdullah

Rashida Anderson-Abdullah, DMACC Ankeny sophomore, won the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, worth up to $320,000. To be eligible for the scholarship, the foundation looks at academic ability, like outstanding performance and a GPA of 3.5 or higher, financial need, persistence, leadership, and service to others.

Anderson-Abdullah was surprised with the scholarship one morning in her microeconomics class. The ordeal was caught on camera and we caught up with Anderson-Abdullah a few days later to talk about it.
