Students with a keen eye may have noticed that the Campus View looks a little bit different this Fall. This is due to the ownership of the property changing hands over the summer. The property is now owned by Haverkamp Properties, which also owns Prairie Point.
Since changing hands, the building has had new siding on the exterior. The hallways have a fresh coat of paint. New furniture is in place in the lobby by the office. New locks on the exterior doors and the units themselves. Basically, new upgrades are making it feel like a new building
Under the old owners, the building was quickly becoming decrepit. The exterior was ugly, the interior just as bad, the lobby was a ghost town, and any maintenance issues went almost unchecked. Not even the furniture was any good. Campus View was in a bad way.

As of writing, the building is still a work in progress. There are still bits of construction mess here and there in the halls. You can see workers coming and going as projects are being worked on. So as they say, “pardon their dust” as they continue to improve a building that sorely needed it.
There is a good side to this, though. Residents now have access to or soon will have access to 1 Gig internet included with their rent. Before, the internet provided was not very good and was very prone to throttling when a lot of people were using it. Now you can stream, do online classes, and download games, all at blazing speeds.
